Over the last number of years, there has been a continued proliferation of citations of Fuller’s words in articles, books, and websites. It is an exciting confirmation of the relevancy of Fuller’s legacy at this “critical moment” for Life on Earth. At the same time the Estate has become aware that the vast majority of published citations of Fuller’s words are without indication of any source. We often hear Bucky quoted, saying things that do not sound like his writing. Fuller said, “I don’t care if I’m not understood as long as I’m not misunderstood” (Synergetics Dictionary). And so we are inspired to champion an initiative to challenge us all to seek out and identify specific oft used quotes.

Tips on Identifying Fuller quotes:

     1. If you cannot find and share the source for a quote, it is not a quote.

     2. If you search for a quote citation using a search engine, actually include quote marks; for example, “dare to be naive."
